Question: Are you gonna tour with The Hangover Out?

Gilby Clrk: My tour starts on Tuesday. Isn't it convenient how this came up a week before the tour! It starts in Texas and works it's way Midwest to the East coast, but I won't be hitting Florida or the West coast on this.

HubMeg: What about those people?

Gilby Clrk: After the first of the year. We don't tour during the holidays, the fans need their money.

HubMeg: Here's an obnoxious but interesting one:

Question: Would you slap Danzig if you had the chance?

Gilby Clrk: Nah! Everybody's got to have an opinion! Angry little guy, huh?

HubMeg: I personally love Glen!

Question: What do you think of Hanson?

Gilby Clrk: They're cute little guys! It's a catchy little song! There's nothing wrong with those guys!

HubMeg: Just like Danzig, huh?

Question: What's the craziest thing you ever asked a concert promoter to furnish for doing a concert?

Gilby Clrk: You know, live sex tapes and pornography. It's not that crazy, but it's on our rider.

Question: Gilbey, what do you think of John McLaughlin as a guitarist & his music?

Gilby Clrk: I don't really know a lot about his stuff, so I don't really have an answer. I'm not familiar with it.

Question: What do you think of the Rolling Stones tour?

Gilby Clrk: I'm sure I'll try to go see it when I play. When THEY play. The Stones are pretty good, no matter what year it was.

HubMeg: amen.

Question: What do you think with all this Internet stuff now?

Gilby Clrk: It's great. I think any type of technological advance is great and information is great. And it's cool. I get on every once in awhile. And I'm not giving out my Email address! I made that mistake once.

Question: Have you parted with GNR for good or is there a chance you might rejoin ?

Gilby Clrk: There's nobody left but Axel, and I would never do anything with the band unless Slash was still involved.

Question: Gilby, what do you think of the way music has progressed in the last 5-10 years, intermeshing rock, rap, techno, etc.?

Gilby Clrk: Basically music has to progress and that's not to say what's good or bad. You have to decide what you like and if you don't like it don't buy it. Music is just entertainment and it is nothing more than that. It gets you through good and bad times. I personally like a lot of the older music. To me it just seemed more soulful and real. These days it seems a lot more processed.

HubMeg: Yeah, totally.

Question: What do you think of Megadeth and/or heavy metal that is just a little harder than pure rock n' roll?

Gilby Clrk: I like bands that have loud guitars with a pretty cool groove. There are some good mega-death songs, they don't make me cry or anything, but they're good to listen to when you're driving your car fast. There's a couple good metallica songs too.

HubMeg: It's almost time to wrap up, let's give something away. Gilby, what shall it be?

Question: Would you ever consider being in a movie?

Gilby Clrk: Absolutely! I want to do any remake of a Peter Fonda film.

Question: What do you do in a normal day?

Gilby Clrk: I wake up late, I watch TV. Then I get on the phone for 3 hours. Then I usually go to my cool garage with lots of great tools, and I build or break something. Then I go back to the TV and wait for the World Series to come on. Then I go meet the guys at a bar. And that was today!

HubMeg: And for our final question from someone who missed you saying you have a wife:

Question: Will you marry me? I love you.

Gilby Clrk: Are you cute? Yeah.

HubMeg: Does your wife want to kill you now?

Gilby Clrk: Oh yeah.

HubMeg: You go girl!

Gilby Clrk: The record is out and we start the tour till the holidays, then we'll see you again next year!

HubMeg: Oh, and one last one (we can't stop!)

Question: Who are the musicians on Hangover that play along with you?

Gilby Clrk: Clem Burke, Eric Singer on drums from Kiss who will be my drummer on tour. Clem Burke from Blondie. Waddy Wacthel from Keith Richard's band on guitars Ryan Roxis on guitar.. and a bunch of other guys

Thanks for this, I enjoyed reading the transcript! I was almost at the end when I had to smile at a musical connection. Gilby says that Eric Singer from KISS will be his drummer on tour. A friend of mine who I recently turned on to Candy is a huge KISS fan and attended a drum master class with Eric singer a few years back. I know he will be interested to read this,
