His next endeavor (Gilby's after Kill For Thrills), The Blackouts, performed frequently in the L.A. area, especially at The Coconut Teaszer on the Sunset Strip.

They did indeed! And I have pictures to prove it.... That's where I first heard the songs "Shut Up", "Skin & Bones" and "Tijuana Jail", all to show up later on the "Pawnshop Guitars" album.
