The Beatles and the Rolling Stones will find themselves competing again next month, this time in the home-video racks. The bands are the subjects of new, unauthorized VHS and DVD collections from Passport Videos that will be released on March 18. Both The Beatles: The Long And Winding Road and The Rolling Stones: For The Record come in five-volume sets, each featuring more than five hours of interview and performance footage. Most of the material is either public domain or was licensed from broadcast sources. The Beatles set features interviews with: John Lennon's sister Julia Baird; promoter Sid Bernstein; keyboardist Billy Preston; original manager Allan Williams; manager Brian Epstein's personal secretary Beryl Adams; Alistair Taylor, who worked with the group at Epstein's company and at the Beatles' Apple Corporation; Tony Sheridan, the British musician who the Beatles backed on "My Bonnie"; and others. For the Rolling Stones documentary, former guitarist Mick Taylor offers an in-depth look into the operations of the group's touring entourage. Each of the sets will retail for $49.98. I would like to get the Rolling Stone video. I wonder who is going to sell more the Beatles or the Stones?

The beatles i reckon, they were always the better of the two imo, altho i do love the stones. Incidentelly, the long & windin road was the original title for the anthology series. Sorry,im full of useless facts like that
