Listening to Swag right now for the first time in a while, and i noticed even though its similar to albums such as Pawnshop Guitars in musical style, its sort of an evolution, yet lyrically the themes are vaguely similar.
To me the main theme i get from Gilbys albums is one of reflection, lyrically its often looking back at a monet during a rock n roll life, and reflecting on what has happened, and this is where it becomes a bit more blues infused.
Just an observation really
EDIT: Is it just me or is Judgement Day kind of like an evolution of Wasnt Yesterday Great, kind of like Wasnt Yesterday Great part 2?
